The decision by the German Bundestag in 2002 to reconstruct the Berlin Palace as the Humboldtforum unites various institutions under one roof with the guiding principle “Dialog Between World Cultures”. Taking part alongside the Central and Regional Library Berlin are the Ethnological Museum and the Museum of Asian Art. The “World of Languages” is supposed to be a new education and experience site focusing on language, communication, and immaterial cultural heritage. Part of the study conducted by TRIAD Berlin in addition to a comprehensive field analysis is also a feasibility and operation assessment.

The communication concept introduced goes beyond the functions of a traditional museum or science center and helps questions widely held beliefs about linguistics, clarifies the enhancement through linguistic diversity, and heightens one's own perception of the range of themes.
