Lübeck Science Trail

Hanse Meets Humboldt

On Lübeck's old town island, a trail with interactive exhibits brings science to life for everyone. TRIAD Berlin put the idea of a science trail into practice, designing and producing the exhibits as well as the graphics and illustrations.

The discovery trail offers children and adults a hands-on experience of scientific phenomena. Ten stations provide plenty of things to try and marvel at: From the chaos pendulum to the ear piece and the binoculars, all of the interactive exhibits spark interest in science and research. From February until November 2012, every month saw the unveiling of a new exhibit in a different borough of the city. This way, the different fields of knowledge were gradually brought to people's neighborhoods.

Originally scheduled to run until the end of the 2012 Year of Science, the Science Trail exhibition was extended until late 2014 due to its huge success with Lübeck's inhabitants and visitors.
