Blue Planet - Berlin Water Dialogues

A Sustainable Dialogue

Water is becoming a scarce resource due to an ever-increasing global population. And yet, we need enough water to keep our environment in good shape. At the conference, which was co-initiated and organized by TRIAD Berlin, international participants from the worlds of business, politics, and science discussed this issue.

The conference was hosted by keynote speaker Johan Kuylenstierna, Executive Director of the Stockholm Environment Institute. The know-how generated in earlier projects and TRIAD Berlin's expertise in the fields of sustainability and urbanization provided the basis for a nuanced, interdisciplinary, and future-oriented conference schedule.

TRIAD Berlin collaborated with the Federal Environment Ministry to ensure that the results of the "Blue Planet Berlin Water Dialogues" were considered during the preparation of "The Water, Energy, and Food Security Nexus", a conference that was held in Bonn in 2011.
