The second edition of the "Blue Planet Berlin Water Dialogues" followed an interactive approach giving participants the opportunity to consider the interrelationship between water resources and safeguarding food production from different angles. The goal of the event was to present concrete results at the end of the meeting.

High-profile speakers and working group heads such as Prof. Klaus Töpfer (fmr. German Federal Minister of the Environment, Institute of Advanced Sustainability Studies) as well as high-ranking representatives of European organizations and major companies such as Metro and PricewaterhouseCoopers supported the event by giving talks, participating in panel discussions, and making contributions.

 

Lively discussions both in smaller groups and during the panel sessions attested to participants' considerable interest in the cross-sectoral topics. The conference quickly attracted the interest of the media and generated a lot of coverage.
