Hilti Brand World

Triad Berlin won the international tender for the design of the Hilti Brand World in Liechtenstein. Hilti AG is a global supplier of leading technology in products, systems and services to the construction industry. Triad developed and realised a 1,000 square metre brand world as part of the new training centre at the company headquarters. Visitors and employees can experience Hilti as a leading force in technology as well as a family business.

Design concept

The design of the exhibits is characterized by the use of materials like concrete, steel and wood – Hilti develops numerous tools and technologies for the working these materials. In analogy to the company’s products, the exhibits were designed for ergonomical operation. Thus, the room design of the Hilti Brand World reflects the outstanding quality of Hilti’s design: its clear form and structuredness.

Design of the exhibition

In order to make a clear connection with the Hilti brand without using the logo itself, the colour red was used predominantly troughout the exhibition. By refraining from using the logo, the room’s modesty invites the visitor to reflect about the brand. On the low-ceilinged ground floor, the exhibition emphasizes horizontal lines; on the upper floor, where the ceiling is twice as high, the exhibits adjust to the room height size-wise. In both rooms, the exhibition’s elements invite the visitor to stay.

Exhibits

The exhibits show different aspects of Hilti’s philosophy. The subject determines the visualisation style: for the emotional subject of “client stories”, a 360-degree cinema was devised en miniature. The “Innovation” exhibit combines a white model with an original part of the building and a film, thus conveying in an impressive manner how Hilti uses complex procedures to develop special tools for architectural problems.
