M:AI at the 10th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice
At the opening of the 10th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice, the newly founded M:AI premiered in front of an international expert audience. For this occasion, Triad Berlin devised and realized the overall production of the “mobile museum” in the Teatro Fondamenta Nuove, a former salt depot. This urban stereoscopic intervention formed the beginning of several years of cooperation with various project partners in Europe to research and develop urban transformation processes.
Exhibition
The M:AI showed an exhibition of urban transformation and city architecture. Four specific examples from North Rhine-Westphalia, Brandenburg, Hamburg and Venice demonstrated what intelligent re-usage of old industrial settlements can look like today. At the panel discussion following the opening ceremony, experts from Hamburg, Vienna, Venice and the Ruhr area in Germany discussed experiences, problems and possible solutions for the extensive challenges.
