Happy End – In Pursuit of Happiness

Triad Berlin conceived and created an EXPO pavilion that appealed to human sensibilities, through a world of experience, that simultaneously tackled the meanings and perceptions of happiness and joy, as well as the situations in which we experience them. The Expo pavilion was planned and realized by Triad Berlin for the Swiss National Exhibition Expo.02. It depicted everyday moments of happiness and joy, and visitors were invited on a journey through their own life, memories, and perceptions. Unique exhibits and exciting experience rooms encouraged more than one million visitors to get in touch with their own sense of luck (again).

Expo Pavilion

The pavilion is the starting point for a network of stories and discoveries, offering a new experience of well-known things. The architecture follows a symbolic language of shapes: the fragmented cube is similar to a “construction kit of life”. Each of the seven experience rooms shows a sensual production of the search for the trails of fortune.

Experience rooms

Life is full of opportunities and moments of luck for each of us, independent of age, sex, background and education. In order to stage this, Triad Berlin designed experience rooms with titles such as “Listen to Life – Oftentimes, your luck is hiding in the small matters of everyday life”, “Smash – Break a thing, mend your luck”, “Temple of Success – You venture, you gain” and finally “Happy End – Your luck is in front of you”. A gigantic slide was the exit, leading all visitors to where their luck can be found: somewhere in the world outside.
