Dr. Oetker World

Triad faced the challenge was to design and create an exhibition to make the Dr. Oetker´s countless cooking products more targetible and distinguishable for visitor´s and - ultimately consumers. The company values - tradition, quality and innovation played a prominent role therefore the experience center was to go well beyond a mere corporate museum telling the company history.  The Dr. Oetker World was placed in the former produktion hall near the company’s headquarters – the ideal place to embrace the spirit of the brand’s rich history, understand their current presence and to image the brand’s future. Drawing inspiration from the company´s timeline, the overall theme was “Every Future Needs An Origin”.

Subject areas

Nine subject areas depict the fascinating path of a product from its raw materials to its completion. The story unfolds; it begins with the brand’s history, moves on to the variety and quality of the raw materials, spans elaborate, state-of-the-art stages of production as well as international product advertising and ends with the subjects of processing and indulgence. The Dr. Oetker brand’s variety remains surprising throughout the entire exhibition.

Product paradise

The multi-media room productions take all the visitor's senses on a trip into a fascinating and colourful product world. The visitors can feast their eyes on historic photographs, listen to the story of the founder and inventor Dr. Oetker, take in the stages of production acoustically and visually, or mimic Alice in Wonderland by walking around huge, oversized product packages. They can harvest recipes, enter a fragrant kitchen or be entertained at a gaudy dinner table. There are plenty of ways to experience the Dr. Oetker brand first-hand.

 Paula the Cow

In 2007, the Dr. Oetker Brand World was complemented with the adventure exhibit “Paula Pudding“. A life-size “Paula the Cow” stands on a scenographic island in front of the oversized packaging of a pudding in the background. Visitors can play three different computer games with Paula and her friends via the game station’s touch screen. The audio station offers interesting information relating to the Paula Pudding: Six tracks consist of a rhyming text spoken rapper-style by a girl, similar to the Paula rap used in advertisements, and a spoken text summing up the most important facts.
