Thinking of Germany – Who Rules Germany?

For the third "Thinking of Germany" conference of the Alfred Herrhausen Society and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Triad Berlin transformed the “Hermann Josef Abs Auditorium” of Deutsche Bank into an atmospheric and focused space for thought. As in the previous years, Triad Berlin created the event architecture and the event design in toto, planned and organized the whole conference as well as a following dinner, and assisted in developing topic and content for the conference.

The key question “Who Rules Germany? ‚Taxation without Representation’“ triggered a debate on the legitimacy of decisions and on alternatives to the “no alternatives” mantra in times of hectic powerlessness. The contributions were taped live in several “visual recordings” and parts of the conference were broadcast by the media partner Deutschlandradio Kultur. Speakers included Josef Ackermann, Henrik Enderlein, Peter Gauweiler, Klaus Gretschmann, Herbert Landau, Hans Leyendecker, Günther Nonnenmacher, Wolfgang Nowak, Ralf Stegner, Frans Timmermans, and Ulla Weidenfeld.
