MS Wissenschaft: The floating Science Center
Launched by the Wissenschaft im Dialog (Science in Dialog) initiative, the floating Science Center “MS Wissenschaft” (MS Science) was again touring Germany in 2011. From May 19 to September 29, 2011, the interactive exhibition about health research could be experienced on a converted former inland cargo vessel. The MS Wissenschaft is a contribution by the Wissenschaft im Dialog initiative to the Year of Science 2011 – Research for Our Health.
Triad developed and implemented the exhibition and contributed several hands-on exhibits. To start, visitors could visualize their own heartbeat in an interactive ventricle. This sensual impulse gave visitors an impression of their own vitality and accompanied them throughout the five thematic sections of the exhibition. Some 30 exhibits from research institutes offered insights into the diversity of current health research. The MS Wissenschaft stopped in 35 cities; children, teenagers, and adults have been invited to visit the converted vessel.
