Volkswagen Lounge

Triad Berlin designed the Volkswagen Lounge on approximate 600 sqm at the Transparent Factory in Dresden. As part of this process, the space was re-developed in terms of content and scenography. The predominantly white Volkswagen Lounge closes the tour of the Transparent Factory and is divided into three areas: an exclusive car exhibition, a special exhibition space, and the factory store. Visitors can experience the manufacture of the Volkswagen Phaeton hands-on and can also personally pick up new vehicles.

Dynamical exhibition design

Movable walls in the entrance area lead the visitors into the Volkswagen Lounge and offer them first glimpses of the exhibition. The light design in the ceilings and curved walls impressively bring the exhibition into the right light.
The light installation in the exhibition area gives visitors the impression of hovering in the air. A graphical background emphasizes this dynamical set design using unobtrusive color strips and creating the impression of speed in reference to the “passing landscapes” in the car exhibition area. The shiny typography of the special exhibition underscores the poetical description of the Volkswagen brand’s virtues. In the vehicle presentation area, the large media wall creates a background for the exhibited car models, displaying the respective environments of the cars. The exhibited car models also present innovations and interesting details.
