Nord Stream on the World Gas Conference
Under the motto "The Global Energy Challenge: Reviewing the Strategies for Natural Gas" the 24th World Gas Conference 2009 brought together experts from the gas industry from around the world. The Nord Stream pipeline is currently one of the largest infrastructure projects in Europe and of particular interest to the gas industry worldwide. The Nord Stream pipeline will directly link Russia and the European Union via the Baltic Sea and provide natural gas to supply electricity to households and business.
For the presentation of Nord Stream AG at the 24th World Gas Conference in Buenos Aires Triad realized a large conference stand of almost 300 square meters. The presentation emphasized the scope, scale, and complexity of the project and present four important aspects of the project: Engineering, Permitting, Environment and Logistics.

Exhibition/Stand Architecture
The key image, two sections of a pipeline in original size, is already attracting the attention of visitors from afar. The stand design is framed by an impressive ceiling ring in the form of a truncated cone. The inside of the ceiling ring is covered with a tarpaulin with appearance of an underwater surface. Key facts of the Nord Stream project are mapped by means of two high-quality projectors in the form of short films on this underwater world. The stand type, and all exhibits consistently remind viewers of the form of a pipeline.
Interactive Exhibits: Interactive Table
Important aspects of the project are presented through interactive exhibits. For example, visitors can playfully move 13 virtual cards on the "Interactive Table" and to learn more about the topic „permitting“.
The content is displayed using interactive maps, images and visualizations and explain the complex approval process of the pipeline project.

Interactive Exhibits: Audio Station
At the Audio Station the visitor can activate audio recordings on "Security of Supply", "Environmental Value" and "International Cooperation” by selecting three buttons. By means of a one-hand earpiece the visitor can listen to quotes from leading politicians and economic experts on the project related to the chosen topic.
Interactive Exhibits: Logistics Exhibit
A logistics exhibit developed for the conference allows the visitor to explore the complex logistical relationships in a playfull way while discovering, for example, the ports that are most important to the construction of the pipeline. The various locations are connected via an LED marked pipeline. By touching little push buttons visitors can trace the supply radius based on the respective route lighting. Other elements include a sliding mechanism that explains the manufacturing process of the pipeline pipes. The shifting process on the pipeline is explained using a rotating slideshow.
