ActiveFilters

Triad Berlin was instructed to create and develop an interactive exhibit for Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen at Hannover Messe 2009. The exhibit “AktiveFilters“ should be constructed as sales assistance for the distribution of reactive power control relay facilities. Visitors could re-enact and practice interactively through an intuitively designed interface which showed the performance of an active filter and what it delivers for the protection of industrial facilities in low tension areas.

AktiveFilters – The Game

In a specially designed game, visitors could act as a filter themselves and regulate harmonics and reactive power with a slide control. At the end of the game, total points and an evaluation were shown. While informing visitors, and answering questions, the game also fuelled further conversations.

Live-Simulation

Another option to the game was a live simulation to demonstrate the function of the AktiveFilters. Power was regulated automatically, and the results of harmonics and reactive power could be changes with the control pad and the mode of action of the filter system could be discussed.
