Commissioned by the Chinese organizing committee of the Shanghai World Expo 2010, the German company Triad has designed one of the main theme pavilions - the “Urban Planet.” Triad had won the international bidding for the 12,000 m² pavilion against more than 150 competitors. The “Urban Planet” pavilion addresses both the complex processes shaping the urbanization of our planet and global challenges that go along with it. The scenography combines traditions of Western narratives with motives taken from the Chinese Feng shui heritage. more »











The “Urban Planet” is located centrally on the main axis of the Expo, next to the China national pavilion and the Performing Arts Center.
